WHAT WE LOVE

Signature black swallows swoop across the walls of A Vida Portuguesa, two beautiful shops celebrating the art, design, craft, and traditions of Portuguese brands. Founded by former journalist Catarina Portas, the first A Vida Portuguesa store opened in Lisbon's Chiado neighborhood. The Chiado shop occupies a former warehouse and perfume factory, David & David, with its beautiful cabinets and jars of powder still intact.

The equally stunning Intendente store, in the former Viúva Lamego tile factory, extends to more than 5000 square feet over two floors. This beautiful shop offers a wonderful range of Portuguese-made products including textiles, books, ceramics, homeware, food, and gifts.
