Armchair Books is a family-run secondhand and antiquarian book shop in Edinburgh's West Port with a view of the castle. Entering the shop, made up of two narrow, side by side shops piled high with a books in a series of interconnecting rooms, is akin to entering a maze of books. The books are sorted alphabetically, piled high, in bookcases and every available surface. Assistance from the knowledgeable staff will help you guide these tomes, where one could easily lose themselves for hours.
