WHAT WE LOVE

Cornershop Brooklyn, opened in Brooklyn's Williamsburg in 2021, is the New York outpost of Japanese stationery brand Hightide. Hightide is a specialty stationery and office supply brand established in Fukuoka, Japan in 1994. Even though the brand evokes retro American and European vibes the products are developed with cutting edge technology.

Cornershop Brooklyn shares a retail space with a Japanese kokedama bonsai studio and plant shop.

Also in New York, has a selection of Hightide goods including a specially designed collaboration of Nepenthes signature navy products.

"Inspired by bunbogu-ya, a local stationery store that always existed near a school, a place familiar to anyone who grew up in Japan. In these small stores, shelves were crammed with notebooks, pencils, erasers, pen cases, cheap sweets, and toys."
