WHAT WE LOVE

Artist and author John Derian established his New York City studio in 1989 to create his unique brand of handmade decoupage home goods and gifts. In 1995 he opened his first shop in New York's East Village to showcase his decoupage plates, platters, paperweights and coasters alongside a veritable treasure trove of decorative home objects, textiles, vintage and furniture.

Since the first shop opened, John Derian has expanded his universe, collaborating with many brands to design a range of furniture, wallpaper, fabric, ceramics, and stationery, and has opened two additional stores next door to the first one that showcase the furniture and textiles.

In 2018 a further shop was opened in a charming early 19th century Federal-style building in New York's West Village.
